The IMPRS supporting program

We aim to fully support our PhD candidates throughout their doctoral journey – from planning their move to Tübingen and getting started in the program through to the PhD defense and beyond.

Scientific supervision is provided by the main project advisor, with much training taking place in the host lab. The student also benefits from regular interaction with their thesis advisory committee.

All places are fully funded – no need for financial worries.

A supporting program of training helps students prepare for key events during their PhD and build a strong CV in preparation for their post-doctoral period.

The IMPRS office supports students in all non-scientific matters: planning the move to Tübingen, taking care of new arrivals during our “Welcome Days” and Orientation Week, helping deal with bureaucracy and paperwork, and offering support on personal matters.
