Talented junior scientists are offered the opportunity to earn a doctorate under excellent research conditions in Tübingen, Germany. Fully-funded projects are offered at the Max Planck Institute for Developmental Biology, the Friedrich Miescher Laboratory and the University of Tübingen, alongside a structured supporting program. The working language of our school is English.
IMPRS students tackle research projects bridging the gap from molecules to living organisms. Transcending the boundaries of traditional life science disciplines, methodologies and scientific approaches from different fields are combined to address topics inaccessible by isolated research areas. Access to wide-ranging, cutting-edge facilities enables this approach.

Our online application system closes automatically at midnight (CET) on February 26, 2017. After that, you can no longer submit your application form or supporting documents. Referees can still submit their part after the deadline; we will consider references submitted by 28 February.
